Friday, January 4th, 2008

December 15, 2007 (Group 3)-  No one was injured, but a shed was destroyed during a fire on Saturday. The Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue Department was alerted to the blaze in a shed at the Paul Swanick residence at 21 Waumbeck Road. First arriving units found heavy fire showing from the 10×12 foot shed, which was a safe distance from the home. The fire was declared under control at 4:56 p.m. The shed and its contents were a total loss. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue Department and is accidental in nature. Fire-Rescue Deputy Chief Tom Zotti says the fire appears to have started in the area of a battery charger, which was in use at the time of the blaze. Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue was assisted at the scene by Lakeside Ambulance.
